Ennix Bio-Service^SM for Collection Systems utilizes biological means to eliminate grease buildups and sludge deposits in order to maintain efficient water flow in the wastewater circulatory system. Ennix has successfully implemented service programs with municipalities from coast-to-coast, across the United States. Ennix’ unique biological technology removes organic coagulates and pollutants from the wastewater stream by metabolically transforming the organics into substances that are harmless to the collection system hardware and humans (i.e. water, carbon dioxide and pH neutral amino acids).

Treatment Approach

The Ennix Bio-Service^SM treatment approach is to eliminate problems at the source by not allowing H₂S and other odor causing compounds to form. This is accomplished by establishing an aerobic/facultative digestion cycle in the sewer lines and lift stations, eliminating the anaerobic environment necessary for the growth of sulfur-related bacteria and the resulting production of H₂S and other odors. Through the use of Ennix’ below ground, battery operated feeders (patent pending), proprietary microbial formulas are dispensed directly into the gravity lines at the initial point of pollution. Through a consistent microbial feed sized to flow volume, length of system and pollutant load, healthy microbial colonies are established in the piping and wet wells, removing old deposits of sludge and grease and preventing new organic deposits from forming. Functionally, the treated collection system becomes a pre-treatment plant digester with the results being the elimination of odor complaints, improvements in water quality and solids reduction in the sewer system. The effects can be measured by reductions in BOD, VS, NH₃, H₂S a neutral pH and a positive DO.

Ennix maintains a tight schedule for inspection and service of each system. The service consists of a physical inspection of the AutoFeed™’s delivery system, electronic inspection of the AutoFeed™’s computer software program, replenishment of the biological formula reservoir and, if required, point source inspection and sampling for analysis and service guarantee compliance.
